Dementia Care

Female nurse is taking care of the senior womanAccording to the Alzheimer's Society there are 800,000 people living with dementia in the UK today. It affects 1 in 3 people over the age of 65, and with longer life expectancy now a feature of modern life, these figures are only likely to increase.

Living with the difficulty of dementia can be very challenging both for the person with the disease and their nearest and dearest, our support plan will help you to reduce the impact by compensating for those difficulties whilst you carry on living a fulfilled life.

We will strive to maintain the person`s identity, their independence, and their confidence to live their chosen lifestyle, in the security of their own home. Support will be personalised - only as little or as much as is needed will be provided ensuring the person can maximise their strengths and remains in absolute control.

We will work with other support networks to ensure that our service is truly holistic. This includes full cooperation with anyone else who assists you on a regular basis, such as medical professionals and voluntary helpers.

We appreciate that support may need to change significantly day-to-day, or over longer periods. Our staffs are specially trained to recognise and respond effectively to such changes, and to detect signs of well- being so they can be enhanced.
